Vivienne Westwood High Top Trainer

I'm a sucker for Vivienne's shoes, here is a new release from Vivienne Westwood, the 'High Top Trainer'. Love the leather pirate buckle over and the patterning.
(What an oversight to limit this to a man's sneaker, available from size 7-10 UK)

Supra Marais store and Skytop sneaker

SUPRA PROUDLY PRESENTS THE "PARIS" SKYTOP

After launching the NYC store, Paris has a new boutique at 45 Rue de Temple, in the Marais (Where else of course!) Supra released the SkyTop Paris Limited Edition. We are waiting to hear if they were ever made in women's sizes...

Posting from Supra blog...

Did we ever thank the French for the Statue of Liberty? Someone said, “Thank you,” right? That would be very rude if no one sent a card, or flowers, or anything. Because we’re very fond of our Lady Liberty. And here at SUPRA, we have a special connection to France: it is the home of our European headquarters, located in Biarritz, as well as the home of our European showroom, located in Paris. So as a belated “merci” for the statue, and to commemorate the opening of our Paris store, we’ve created a SKYTOP in the colors of the French flag. The shoe’s upper is blue tumbled leather with red, white, and blue eyelets, the upper has "PARIS" embroidered tonally, the heel applique is also red, white, and blue, there are two different colored footbeds each featuring custom “PARIS" artwork, and they come with an Eiffel Tower hangtag. We’d like to think Rimbaud was wearing a pair of these when he was walking the streets in the city of light and wrote, “Plus léger qu'un bouchon j'ai dansé sur les flots.”1 But he was probably just drunk. This is one of the most limited edition products SUPRA will have ever made available to the public. Strictly limited to 100 pairs (sequentially numbered on the inside of the tongue), they will be available on Saturday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at SUPRA Paris.

Mark Ong aka SBTG, talks us through his creative process

Artist and sneaker visionary Mark Ong talks us through how he started out as SBTG (Sabotage) customising clothing and sneakers by hand in Singapore. Describing himself aptly as a 'story teller', he uses hand painting, transfers and screening to give new life to classic sneakers.
Watch the video to see Mark creating new sneaker designs, the latest of which are the "138" shoe collaboration with FICE Boutique in Salt Lake City.

Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe Duck Boot SS12

'Trés bien' boutique in Malmö, Sweden have in my opinion some of the best buyers in Europe. Here they showcase the Spring Summer 2012 Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe Duck Boot. Always there first with great sneakers and footwear. Recently one of few to see the New Balance MT 580 Black with wood effect finishes on sale in store. (I'd love any of their sneaker selection's in women's sizes!)
See http://www.tresbienshop.net/ for more great stuff
Thanks to SLAMXHYPE for the great post and Trés bien for the great sneak peek images

Spotted during the recent presentation of the Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe Spring/Summer 2012 Collectionthese duck boots promise to be a hit. Highlighted by a more abstract design with an unusual finish to the gum sole while the colorways are emphasised by the combination of materials.
Thanks to Tres Bien for the info.
